Christie’s International Real Estate handles deal-making for some of the world’s most expensive residential real estate listings. They hired me for the third time to take on what I think is a particularly interesting property. The property is a 10,000 acre horse ranch located near the Monterey Bay in Paicines, California – a town you’ve probably never heard of. You can drive through the downtown in about four seconds. The property was designed by noted architect Atelier Ugo Sap, for its owner—the famous, leveraged buyout investor George Roberts of KKR. Mr. Roberts is number 104 on the Forbes 400. If you are interested in purchasing the property, the listing price is a reasonable $32,000,000. It does have four bedrooms! But consider there is a full time salaried staff of fifteen to operate and maintain the property. The house is beautiful. I really enjoyed being there and finding interesting angles.
